Overnight deadly Highway 273 crash in Redding, Victim identified

Highway 273 was closed for several hours in Redding on Thursday night following a deadly crash.

Update: 1:45 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2019 - The motorcyclist has been positively identified as 29-year-old Brandon Lyle Englund of Redding.

Englund's next-of-kin has been notified and a post-mortem exam is working to be scheduled.

The crash still remains under investigation.

REDDING, Calif. - Highway 273 was closed for several hours in Redding on Thursday night following a deadly crash.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. near Kenyon Drive when a motorcycle and car crashed, killing the motorcyclist.
