In Louisiana there's a dancing deputy whose fancy two-steps at a parade have gone viral.

Heath Allen reports.

Every day across America law enforcement officers gear up strapping on the tools of their trade prepared to hit the streets and serve and protect the public..

But when reserve St. Tammany deputy Steve Hoffmann steps out he steps out.

He wasn't the only butt shaking along the parade route for slidellians when deputy Hoffmann started dancing a couple of things happened.

Folks in the crowd started dancing too and those who weren't went for their cell phones and social media.

Daughter Maddy may be surprised at the number of hits on Facebook, but dancing with folks along the parade route no surprise at all.

Hoffmann is an air force vet and five year reserve deputy that means volunteer who does it for free.

A small trough of low pressure moved over the Pacific Northwest on this first day of autumn, and it brought more gusty wind and an improvement to the air quality for most of us. The breezes will continue through the week, and other changes are coming soon.
