TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - A Sacramento man was arrested in Tehama County after investigators say they found over 700 marijuana plants in a shop west of Red Bluff.
Investigators say on Tuesday, Sept. 29 they served a search warrant to a home off of Highway 36 on Betz Lane. The search warrant came as a result of a four-month-long investigation into the illegal cultivation of marijuana for sale.
During the search, officials say they found a large shop with a commercial indoor marijuana grow operation with 752 plants inside, along with evidence of the illegal sales of marijuana.
34-year-old Ye Minghua was arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail on marijuana cultivation charges, possession of marijuana for sale, maintaining a residence for drug sales and multiple other county ordinance violations.
"[The Tehama County District Attorney Bureau of Investigation] investigates criminal violations and county ordinance violations for marijuana in conjunction with the Department of Environmental Health," said the district attorney.
The investigation is ongoing and investigators expect to make more arrests.
The district attorney's office asks if anyone has information on illegal marijuana growing to contact the investigation bureau at 529-3590.
