Crews quickly knock down Redding structure fire

Investigators are working to find out what caused a Redding structure fire late Monday night.

REDDING, Calif. – Investigators are working to find out what caused a Redding structure fire.

Crews arrived on the scene of the fire just after 11 p.m. Monday in the area of Butte Street. Firefighters said an unoccupied outbuilding caught fire.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. They were able to prevent it from spreading and damaging nearby buildings.

Crews remained at the scene for 2 hours conducting salvage and overhaul operations.

No injuries were reported, fire investigators are now working to find out what started it.
