REDDING, Calif. – Firefighters knocked down a structure fire Tuesday afternoon in Redding.
Just after 1 p.m., crews with the Redding Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Hartnell Road. The first arriving unit said they found heavy fire coming from the back of the home, prompting a second alarm.
Firefighters said all residents were able to evacuate safely. The house sustained heavy damage to the back and the attic.
Crews remained on scene for three hours. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
