Covid-19 vaccination details for eastern Shasta County

Shasta County is in the process of organizing more vaccination clinics, including ones at Mayers Memorial Hospital in Fall River Mills.

FALL RIVER MILLS, Calif. - Mayers Memorial Hospital in Fall River Mills in rural eastern Shasta County is opening up vaccinations soon for people who qualify for Phase 1B of the Covid-19 vaccination program.  This includes people age 65 or older, education workers, child care and child welfare workers, emergency services workers, and food and agriculture workers.

On Friday a vaccine clinic was held at Mayers Memorial Hospital for In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) workers.  CLICK HERE if you are an IHSS worker in eastern Shasta County who would like to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

In the photo above IHSS worker Carol Stovall received her vaccination at Mayers Memorial Hospital. She was the first IHSS worker in eastern Shasta County to receive a vaccination.

Stronger winds and low humidity over dry fuels will result in very high fire danger across northern California Wednesday and Thursday. We'll be very hot Wednesday, but a welcome drop in high temperatures is ahead for Thursday. Smoke will continue to bring big impacts to our air quality over the next several days, and temperatures will heat back up from Friday into Saturday.
