Cottonwood Man Threatens to Kill Sister, Attacks Her: TCSO

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office said a Cottonwood man has been arrested after he threatened his sister’s life and kicked and punched her repeatedly.

TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office said a Cottonwood man has been arrested after he threatened his sister’s life and kicked and punched her repeatedly.

According to TCSO, 43-year-old Shayne Arias turned himself in after his sister said he attacked her more than 40 times.

The incident happened on Tuesday, authorities said the victim was hospitalized with injuries to her ribs and arms.

Authorities also said Arias threatened to kill her, he now faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, because he was wearing heavy boots at the time of the attack. 

Arias was also charged with criminal threats.

A fire weather watch has been issued from 1pm Monday to 11am Wednesday in the Valley and foothills due to dry and gusty conditions. We'll warm up next week but next weekend is looking much much cooler and wet.
