Corning Police Department shares 2019 statistics

The Corning Police Department shared a handful of statistics from 2019.

CORNING, Calif. - The Corning Police Department said 2019 was an eventful year for them.

They shared some statistics wrapping up 2019 via Facebook.

Their dispatch center received a total of 17,813 incoming 911 calls and business line calls. The police department handled 15,460 incidents. These were comprised of 9,404 calls for service, 6,056 officer initiated incidents, including 3,159 traffic stops.

Over 1,000 arrests were made, comprised of 852 misdemeanor arrests and 173 felony arrests, topped off with 1,402 citations issued.

The department said in 2020, they will continue to serve their community faithfully and diligently.
