CHICO, Calif. - A wellness expo at Enloe Medical Center gave the community a chance to get free flu shots and health screenings on Nov. 2.
Hundreds came out to the event offering a variety of free services like lung screenings, blood pressure exams and therapy painting.
A drug take-back station was set up for people to drop off unwanted medications. Another was set up for people to learn information about healthcare enrollment.
"My husband and I walked over to get flu shots but we also wanna support Enloe because a month ago he had open heart bypass surgery here and we were so impressed with the way the hospital took care of us," said Lori Josifek.
Organizers say this event will take place again next year in November.
