CHICO, Calif.- Ahead of the holiday tomorrow, people in Chico gathered today for the 38th annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The theme this year is based on the last book written by Dr. King, called "Where do we go from here? Chaos or Community?"

The book was published just before his assassination in 1968.

People came together for a rally at the Chico City Plaza, followed by a march through downtown.

The march ended with a program at the Trinity United Methodist Church and a community dinner at The Church Social Hall.

We're closing out the month of November in a pleasant way in northern California Tuesday. We'll have some gusty wind tonight and early Wednesday, but December will begin with warmer and drier than average weather.
