Comedy roast to benefit Camp Fire Recovery

CHICO, Calif. -  Chico pedi-cab operator Mike G-Ride is hard to miss if you visit Downtown Chico.

He cheerfully pedals through town with music blasting, waiving at people and offering rides. He's well known for his colorful costumes that accompany holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, St. Patrick's Day, July 4th and even Valentine's Day.   

He's so popular that he has been voted "Best Personality" for the past three years in the Chico News and Review's "Best of Chico" and was named an Official Chico Icon by the Facebook group "You Know You're from Chico When...."

Mike has agreed to be roasted to raise money for Camp Fire victims on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Chico Women's Club. 

Celebrity Roasters include Action News Now Anchor Linda Watkins-Bennett, Chico City Councilwoman Ann Schwab, 102.1 DJ Jigga Julee and 106.7 DJ Frost. 

Local Comedian Roasters include Jason Allen, Nick Stiles, Annie Fischer, Dillon Collins, Jesse Clark, Shydney Hupp, Drew McGillicuddy and E.V.E., as well as Jesse Hett of San Francisco. 

There will be food and alcohol available for purchase.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. You can purchase tickets by CLICKING HERE
