CHICO, Calif. -  Chico pedi-cab operator Mike G-Ride is hard to miss if you visit Downtown Chico.

He cheerfully pedals through town with music blasting, waiving at people and offering rides. He's well known for his colorful costumes that accompany holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, St. Patrick's Day, July 4th and even Valentine's Day.

He's so popular that he has been voted "Best Personality" for the past three years in the Chico News and Review's "Best of Chico" and was named an Official Chico Icon by the Facebook group "You Know You're from Chico When...."

Mike has agreed to be roasted to raise money for Camp Fire victims on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Chico Women's Club.

Light scattered showers are on tap for the start of your Thursday, and I'm tracking heavier rain ahead from Thursday afternoon through mid day Friday. We'll have a lull in our wet pattern late Friday through early Saturday, but even heavier rain and snow will return this weekend and persist into next week. Major travel impacts will be possible across northern California from this wet weather.
