Christmas morning pedestrian collision in Redding

Redding, Calif. ---  Early Christmas morning Redding Police responded to a call of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, Jeffrey Kuhns (32) of Redding, made the call and waited with the injured pedestrian until officers arrived at the intersection of South Bonnyview and Bechelli Lane. 

Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to the hospital.

Redding police say they will not release the name of the pedestrian while the case is under investigation. Their condition is currently unknown. 

Officers say drugs nor alcohol were involved. 

Redding police are asking that any witnesses contact, Traffic Specialist Eddy Gilmette, at the department.
