Get ready for a cold start to your Wednesday morning. Clear skies, and lighter winds have helped temperatures to become much cooler overnight. Valley areas have dipped into the high 20's to mid 30's overnight, and mountain areas have dipped into the teens to 20's this morning. Frost will be an issue in the valley, so you may want to give yourself some extra time to scrape your windshield. Skies will stay sunny today and winds will be out of the North to 10mph. High temperatures are projected to climb into the mid to high 50's in the valley, and into the low 40's to low 50's in the mountains.
Not much change is expected through Friday, but more clouds will be filling into our region for the end of the week. Temperatures will stay in the same range, and we'll be dry through Friday evening. Wet weather will be returning to the coast on Friday night, and will spread through all of Northern California on Saturday. Snow levels will be down to around 4000' and travel impacts are expected. Please make sure you plan accordingly if you're planning on hitting the roads this weekend. Rain will make valley roads slick, but the biggest travel impacts will be in the mountains. Up to 2 feet of snow will be possible along higher peaks. Wet weather will continue through the middle of next week. Low temperatures will become slightly warmer, but highs will stay the same.
