CHICO, Calif. - The City of Chico set up cooling centers at Depot Park on Sunday, said Executive Administrative Assistant for the City of Chico Courtney Carrier.

Carrier said as temperatures reach above 100 degrees, the city put the cooling tents up with misters.

The cooling center was set up Sunday at noon and will remain up until Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Action News Now reached out to the City of Redding, City of Corning, City of Willows, and the City of Oroville but are waiting for a response. We will provide updates when we know what cooling centers are open.
