CHICO, Calif. - The walk to help the fight to end Alzheimer’s will be on Saturday in Chico, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The walk will be a walk-from-home event as the Alzheimer’s Association will be preventing a large gathering.
“To ensure the safety of our Walk participants, volunteers and staff, we are encouraging all Chico residents to participate in this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s by walking from home in their community,” said Elizabeth Edgerly, regional leader for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Northern California and Northern Nevada Chapter.
There is a mobile app that people can download and connect with the community.
The app will track the participant's walk on a map with an argument reality start and a finish line.
There will be a prerecorded opening and closing Promise Garden Ceremony.
