Chico street crime arrests continue

Here are some of the 36 arrests made over the last four weeks by the Chico Police Department's Street Crimes D Unit.

CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Police Department’s Street Crimes “D” Unit has made 36 arrests throughout its four weeks of winter operation. Here are photos on some of those who were taken into custody.

26-year-old William Castor was arrested for an attempted carjacking. This incident occurred on Friday, January 10th at 5:33 p.m. The original call to 911 was in reference to a report about a person being stabbed in the stomach on the 2900 block of Burnap Avenue. The suspect was located hiding in a backyard of a nearby home. CLICK HERE for more details.

27-year-old Amanda Skelton was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

53-year-old Hector Chavera was also arrested on an oustanding warrant.

 

26-year-old Logan Bandy was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for a felony.

 

43-year-old Thomas Gardner was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

 

45-year-old Jason Thomas was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The mission of the Street Crimes D Unit is to impact the street level crime that affects the quality of life in Chico. The team also works to keep public spaces safe.
