CHICO, Calif. – A Chico business owner said she's fed up after almost $1,000 worth of merchandise was taken from her shoe store over the weekend.
Heel and Sole’s new owner, Gloria Covarrubias says it happened Sunday around 3 p.m.
Surveillance footage captured two male suspects, one of them appears to be stuffing something under his shirt, and proceeds to walk out of the store.
The Chico Police Department says they are also looking for a female suspect.
Covarrubias says they were celebrating their one year anniversary that weekend.
"We're a local small business, and the community keeps us going. For someone to come and take shoes like that... there’s no respect. We have a lot of issues with people coming in and stealing and we do have cameras and things like that, but it’s really sad that it’s come to that where someone can just feel like they can take stuff," Covarrubias said.
If you recognize anyone in the surveillance footage, you're asked to call the Chico Police Department at (530) 897-4900.
