Chico Calif.—According to Chico Police, the woman who was shot underwent surgery at Enloe Medical Center.
She had a bullet removed from her back and is now in stable condition.

Chico Calif.—Chico Police are still searching for the person who shot a young woman sitting in the back of a Lyft this weekend.
Robert Archer says he was dropping off two passengers on Pomona Avenue in Chico just before 2 a.m. Saturday, when they all heard a load crack.
Then the female passenger said that she felt pain.
The driver said the passenger leaned over and he found a hole, and realized that she had been shot.
The 22 year old victim has not been names, but Chico Police said that she is expected to survive.
Police canvased the area, but did not find anyone.
Action News Now put calls into Chico Police Monday, but we have not been able to get an update on the investigation.
Chico Calif.-- One woman is injured and police are now searching for a suspect in a Saturday morning shooting involving a ride sharing service.
It was before 2 a.m. Saturday morning when seemingly out of nowhere, shots were fired on the 500 block of Pomona Avenue.
Lyft driver Robert Archer tells us he was dropping off two passengers when they then all hear a loud crack -- and his female passenger suddenly felt a sharp pain.
The identity of the victim in this case has not been revealed, but police say she is in stable condition.
Several other people spoke with police about what happened but no one was able to identify the shooter.
Police searched the area but are still looking for the suspect and they're asking for anyone with information to come forward.
