Chico police respond to 2 stabbing incidents

The Chico Police Department responded to two separate reports of stabbing incidents on Monday night.

CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Police Department responded to two separate reports of stabbing incidents on Monday night.

The following are the locations and information about the stabbings. 

729 Nord Avenue in Chico

The first stabbing happened at 729 Nord Avenue, Chico. 

Action News Now is working to confirm more information about this stabbing. 

2700 block of White Avenue

The second stabbing happened at the 2700 block of White Avenue. According to police, a suspect is in custody and a man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed. 

The stabbing victim said that he and a friend tried to confront the suspect on Monday who they believed stole their belongings. 

The suspect then got upset and stabbed the victim once in the abdomen, according to police. 

Police were able to arrest the suspect and book him into Butte County Jail.
