Chico police arrest night-time prowler, again

Chico police have arrested a man the day after he was released from the Butte County Jail when he was caught prowling at Habitat for Humanity in Chico.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico police have arrested a man the day after he was released from the Butte County Jail when he was caught prowling at Habitat for Humanity in Chico.

32-year-old David Bowers was released from the Butte County Jail on Nov. 14 following his arrest on Oct. 31 for prowling at Pick-n-Pull, officers said.

Hours after Bowers' release, on Nov. 15 at 1:25 a.m., officers responded to the report of a prowler at Habitat for Humanity, located at 220 Meyers Street. Bowers fled the area but was captured after a lengthy manhunt which included the assistance of K-9 Aron, officers said.

Bowers was arrested for Burglary and transported to the Butte County Jail.
