Chico police arrest 3 after confrontation near Ray's Liquor

Chico police arrested three suspects connected to a confrontation in the parking lot of a liquor store.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico police arrested three suspects connected to a confrontation in the parking lot of a liquor store. 

The police department got a call just after 1 a.m. on Thursday regarding a fight in the Ray's Liquor parking lot on Walnut Street. 

A witness told police that a man loaded and pointed a pistol at another person, then took off in a white Subaru. 

Officers found the car downtown, pulled the driver over and detained him with two other people in the car. 

Authorities found a loaded pistol and K-9 Aron detected drugs in the vehicle. 

The driver, Barry Jenkins, 25, was arrested for driving under the influence. 

One of the passengers, Jonathan Rodriguez, 28, was arrested for possessing a loaded and concealed pistol in a vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of cocaine. 

Another passenger, Heaven Cota, 24, was arrested for possession of cocaine.
