CHICO, Calif. - One Chico man is on a clean-up mission: he's hitting the streets and taking matters into his own hands literally!
Jim lamb isn't just dragging a wagon he is "plogging."
"Picking up trash and jogging," Lamb said.
It is a fitness trend sweeping the country.
Lamb's involvement - started at the beginning of the pandemic.
"Mainly my wife was pregnant and we didn't have a whole lot to do besides going for walks. So we started walking and then we were walking past trash all the time."
Lamb says - that *was* not what he wanted to see in his hometown.
"Usually I get about four to five buckets per about 2 to 3 miles so I get quite a bit of trash."
"So much trash - lamb tells me he was able to fill up two dumpsters worth of trash."
"It's to inspire people to come out and clean up. 'Plogging' is really easy to do and there's always a bunch of fun trash to pick up."
If you happen to spot a man picking up litter around your neighborhood - now you'll know who it is.
"We're coming after you trash! We're going to get you, we're going to pick it all up and make this town clean again."
Lamb tells Action News Now he hopes to create a larger group to help collect debris once the pandemic is over.
Lamb says given the chance... he would make "plogging" his full-time job.
