CHICO, Calif. - The Chico City Council approved a substitute motion to immediately rescind the shelter crisis declaration, review other uses for grant funding, and end discussion of a proposed shelter site at the old BMX track.
Councilmember Kami Denlay proposed the substitute motion at Tuesday night's meeting, during a motion to reconsider a shelter site at the old BMX track. The substitute motion was seconded by Councilmember Sean Morgan. The motion passed 5-2.
The council declared the shelter crisis in October of 2018.
