Chico bans glass containers ahead of Cesar Chavez Day

The City of Chico is getting ready for a weekend full of Cesar Chavez Day celebrations with a ban on glass containers.

CHICO, Calif. - The City of Chico is getting ready for a weekend full of Cesar Chavez Day celebrations with a ban on glass containers. 

This ban begins Friday at 6 p.m. and will be in place until the day after Cesar Chavez Day, Monday.

It applies to all city-owned property within the area outlined on the map. 

This ban does not apply to glass containers that are unopened in their original packaging, or in a bag that was received with purchase.
