Chico Transient Arrested for Burglary

On Monday morning just before 6 a.m. Chico Police Officers were dispatched to a car burglary that happened at the Forest Glen Apartments on Pillsbury Road.

Chico, Calif.—On Monday morning just before 6 a.m. Chico Police Officers were dispatched to a car burglary that happened at the Forest Glen Apartments on Pillsbury Road.

Someone who was in the area saw a white adult male break the side window of a Ford sedan and lean through the window.

The suspect rifled through the car, and then fled with stolen items.

Officers arrived to the area and located a man matching the description from the witness.

Police officers conducted a search and found stolen items on his person and in his backpack.

The witness positively identified the suspect as the person responsible for the burglary.

The suspect was 26 year old Chico transient Brian Burt.

He was taken into custody for burglary and drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to the Butte County Jail.
