CHICO, Calif. – Chico State is hosting its annual spring plant sale at the University Farm starting Friday, April 2. It will run for the following three weekends.
The sale at the University Farm greenhouse is open to the public and will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until April 18, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Organic vegetable and herb starts, annual and perennial flowers, and trees will be available for purchase.
Most of the plants were grown at the University Farm greenhouses in collaboration with the Chico State Organic Vegetable Project, the Crop Science and Horticulture Club, and numerous classes offered through the College of Agriculture. Income from plant sales directly provides support for hands-on opportunities in plant science and nursery production.
The University Farm is located at 311 Nicholas C. Schouten Lane in Chico.
University officials ask that if you're feeling ill, stay at home. Vulnerable individuals should continue to follow the State's Stay-at-Home Order, wear face coverings, maintain at least six feet of physical distance from others, and maintain good hygiene by washing hands, using hand sanitizer, and covering coughs and sneezes.
