Chico State changes graduation start time due to weather conditions

Chico State announced that it is changing the start time of Saturday's graduation ceremony for the Colleges of Business and HFA.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico State announced that it is changing the start time of Saturday's graduation ceremony for the Colleges of Business and HFA.

The ceremony will now start at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18. The stadium gates will open at 10:45 a.m. 

The ceremony was originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m., however, the start time was changed due to unsafe weather conditions. 

For guests that do not want to sit outside, the ceremony will be projected in the Harlan Adams Theatre in the Performing Arts Center, in room 144. Seats in the theatre are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

A fire weather watch has been issued from 1pm Monday to 11am Wednesday in the Valley and foothills due to dry and gusty conditions. We'll warm up next week but next weekend is looking much much cooler and wet.
