The Salvation Army of Chico is seeking help from the Chico community to adopt 83 needy Chico State students’ request for food or any other basic necessities this holiday season.

Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry is a collaboration program between The Salvation Army of Chico and Chico State University to assist needy Chico State students with their holiday wishes.

The university worked with various counselors and departments and identified students who have sought assistance this Christmas season.

The Salvation Army then writes each student’s gender and request on a paper tag. Shoppers can find the tags at the Chico mall during normal mall hours.

The final day to adopt a tag and return the donated gift is Tuesday December 5th.

All of the donated gifts will be distributed by Chico State before the students go on winter break.
