CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Ramada Plaza held a Carr Fire relief effort to donate to firefighters who have been tirelessly battling the Carr Fire.
A booth was set up outside the front entrance where Chico residents could donate their hard earned money and give it to a charitable cause.
This isn’t the first time the hotel selflessly gave they donated $5,000 last month for those first responders.
An employee at the hotel says she loves to thank firefighters whenever she sees them.
“When I see them I always thank them for their service. Always because without them there wouldn't be any homes left up there. It just makes me grateful that we have people like that in the world that are willing to give so much of themselves,” said Dianne Adams, an employee from Ramada Inn.
The donations made on Sunday will go to firefighters up in Redding this week.
