UPDATE 4:45 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 - Chico authorities have arrested two men in connection to a drive-by shooting reported on W. 9th Street Wednesday evening.
Around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the suspected vehicle return to the scene of the shooting while the officers were wrapping up the investigation.
Officers searched the car and found a fully automatic handgun. After interviewing the suspects, the officers arrested both of them in connection to the crime.
Authorities arrested Joseph Fratus, 19, and Noah Apodaca, 21. They were booked into Butte County Jail.

CHICO, Calif.- Chico authorities are searching for suspects in a drive-by shooting on Wednesday night.
On Wednesday, around 7 p.m, officers received multiple reports of gunshots on W. 9th Street.
When they arrived on the scene, officers say they spoke with witnesses who told them that at least one suspect in a white truck fired at a car with people inside.
Witnesses said the truck fled the area before officers arrived.
No one was injured.
