Chico Police investigating Boot Barn robbery

The Boot Barn in Chico was the scene of a take over robbery on Monday night.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico Police are looking for the suspect in a take over robbery at the Boot Barn on Dec. 30.

It happened at about 5:48 p.m. at the store on the corner of East Avenue and the Esplanade.

Officers say they arrived on scene they learned an unidentified suspect walked into the business armed with a firearm and demanded employees and customers to the ground before demanding money from a cashier.

The suspect left after with an unspecified amount of money, according to officials.

Now, the Chico Police Department is asking for any information related to the crime from those who were in the area and may have seen something suspicious. 

The store was closed for a short amount of time while officers conducted an investigation and now the Chico Police Detective Bureau will continue to investigate.
