CHICO, Calif. - Chico police arrested a man for breaking into North Valley Bicycle shop around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
29-year-old Robin Fox of Chico was noticed pedaling away on a brand new bicycle when a nearby officer noticed him. Fox matched the description that the owner of the bike shop gave him.
The owner of the bike shop, Frank Bellante, said the frequency of break-ins has increased over time and it's costing him despite his insurance.
"Well, the problem is when you only have a $2,000 deductible, I have to pay for everything. It's not good," Bellante said.
Chico police arrested Robin Fox for commercial burglary and he was transported to the Butte County Jail.
