CHICO, Calif. - Chico Police say a man walked into the 24-hour Walgreens at 860 East Avenue early Saturday, Sept. 15, and attempted to rob the clerk.

Police say just after 3:15 a.m, a man, described as white, wearing white shoes, baggy grey sweatpants, a navy blue or black hooded sweatshirt, with medical bandages covering his entire face and right hand, walked into the pharmacy.  The clerk says the man approached him at the front cash register, showed a gun and demanded money.

Chico Police say the clerk cooperated with the man but he became nervous and fled the store empty-handed.

They say the man is considered armed and dangerous. Call (530) 897-4911 if you have any information.
