CHICO, Calif. - A road rage incident in Chico ended in one man being arrested on Friday, July 3.

Chico Police say just after 3 p.m. on West 5th and Walnut Streets, a call came in reporting a man pointing a handgun at someone in another car.

The victim was able to provide a license plate number, something police went off of to find the suspect.

When they found the man, police say they searched through his car and found the gun to be a realistic replica.

Police say they arrested 22-year-old Chad Frye and booked him into the county jail for brandishing a fictitious weapon with intent to threaten.

It took a few hours, but the sun broke through the clouds over most of northern California Tuesday afternoon. The low clouds, fog and light rain showers return to the valley Wednesday, with snowy weather in the mountains.
