Chico Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Mangrove Gas Station

The Chico Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at a gas station in Chico on Monday.

CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at a gas station in Chico on Monday.

Police responded to a reported robbery around 11:41 a.m. at the Chevron/Reliance Gas Station located at 1101 Mangrove Avenue, Chico. 

An employee at the gas station said that the suspect entered the store armed with a small baseball bat and demanded money from the cash register. 

After receiving the cash, the suspect ran away from the store toward East 3rd Avenue. 

No one was injured during the robbery. 

The suspect was described as a white male juvenile approximately 16-17 years old. He is described as approximately 5'6" and weighing about 140 pounds. 

He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and gray pajama pants, with his face concealed by a white handkerchief.
