Chico Police Holding Ceremony for Fallen Officers

The Chico Police Explorer Post #637 is holding a ceremony to honor Officers who gave their lives in the line of duty across the nation during 2018.

CHICO, Calif. - The Chico Police Explorer Post #637 is holding a ceremony to honor Officers who gave their lives in the line of duty across the nation during 2018.

The event is being put on with the assistance of the Chico Police Chaplains Association and Chico Police Officers' Association.

The ceremony will consist of an invocation from a Chico Police Department Chaplain, remarks by member of the local law enforcement community, a lighting of the luminary candles, and a reading of the names of the line of duty deaths of officers and K9 officers who lost their lives in the United States in 2018.

The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Bidwell Mansion located at 525 Esplanade, Chico.
