CHICO, Calif. - Chico officials put out a house fire early Monday morning after they say a domestic dispute ended with a car into the home.

Officials say the call came in just after 3 a.m. on Oct. 5 to a home on Fern Avenue where witnesses say the car had run into a home in the area.

Shortly after, police say another call was received for a domestic dispute also in the area. Officers went and spoke with the victim who they say said she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend.

Chico officers say both incidents were connected and the investigation is on-going and no arrest has been made as they still search for the male suspect.

Action News Now has learned no one was injured inside the home.
