Chico Calif.—Chico Police Department TARGET team found a wanted suspect walking in the area of West 5th Street and Cedar Street Wednesday morning around 10:30 a.m.
The suspect Joshua Boles had two felony warrants for his arrest, as well as an extensive history with the Chico Police Department.
Boles history includes assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, narcotics violations, domestic violence, and an armed and dangerous be on the lookout.
When officers attempted to contact Boles he ran into a backyard on West 5th Street.
Officers set a perimeter around the location and summoned K9 Officer Martin and his partner Aron, a 4 year old Belgian Malinois.
Officers formed a team and moved into the side yard of the residence when they saw Boles trying to hide behind a wooden pallet.
Officers asked Boles to come out from behind the pallet, then sent in K9 Officer Martin and Aron.
Boles was warned that if he did not come out they would send in Aron to apprehend him.
Once Aron began barking, Boles immediately stood up and surrendered to police.
Boles was taken into custody and booked into jail for the outstanding warrants and resisting arrest.
