Chico Pioneer Day Parade is May 4th

Celebrating Butte Strong and Chico Founder John Bidwell's 200th birthday.

Chico, Calif. - The 102nd Pioneer Day Parade will wind through the streets of Downtown Chico on Saturday, May 4th beginning at 10 a.m. 

This year the parade will honor ffirefighters and first responders who worked to save lives and property during the Camp Fire, including Butte Count Sheriff Kory Honea, who will serve as Grand Marshal.  The parade will also commemorate the 200th birthday of Chico Founder John Bidwell.

Here is the timeline for activities throughout the day:

7:30 - 9:30 a.m.           Pancake Breakfast corner of 3rd & Salem

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.   Plaza Arts & Crafts

10 a.m. - Noon           2019  Pioneer Day Parade

10 a.mm. - 3 p.m.       Plaza Hamburger & Hot Dog Barbecue

Noon  1:30 p.m.         Plaza Stage Performances

12:30 - 3:30 p.m.       Gold Nugget Museum Fundraiser

1:00 p.m.                   Parade Entry Awards Plaza Main Stage

Noon - 3 p.m.          Camp Fire Residents & Business Reunion at Chamber of Commerce on 4th  Street

2 - 5 p.m.                  Plaza Blues Festival
