CHICO, Calif. - Chico Nissan-Hyundai is still operating some services for people in need of car repair, but their services are by appointment only.
For those needing repairs, the employees use plastic seat covers, steering wheel covers, and gear shift covers.
General Manager Ryan Sutton, says they wipe down the interior and door handles before and after a service to protect staff and customers.
"We're also doing a touchless type of service for them they don't have to touch any services when they come in we don't take their credit card we don't hand them a pen to use we also set up some gloves if they would like to use gloves and masks if they want to take a mask," Sutton said.
Sutton says his biggest struggle was resizing the staff and having to furlough some of their employees.
Sutton told Action News Now it's been a challenge, but he'll call them back once this passes and get them right back to work.
A cleanliness crew comes around at least once an hour wiping down services regularly at the shop and keeping their sanitizer stations stocked and ready for use.
Sales are, again, by appointment only, you can call or email them if you have an urgent need for a car.
