CHICO, Calif. - A Chico man is behind bars Sunday morning after being accused of threatening his four roommates with a gun Saturday evening.
Chico police say it stemmed from a noise complaint, they say it happened just before 6 p.m.
One roommate got mad about the level of noise and pulled out a gun, it happened at the home on East Avenue near Cohasset.
Officers were forced to pull out their shields for protection.
“We often don't bring out shields when we’re going to what we classify it as a routine disturbance however when there are mention of firearms. We want to keep our officers and the public safe. Therefore we use the shields so we can mitigate that threat to our officers,” said Sergeant Ben Love, of the Chico Police Department.
Police say the suspect was arrested without incident, he faces several felonies.
