CHICO, Calif. - UPDATE: As of 11 a.m., Chico Fire Swift Water Rescue pulled out of the effort to search for a body reported being swept down the Lindo Channel.

This does not mean for sure that the report was a 'false alarm' - there is a chance that someone was swept away by the current, and they'll be back out to search the area in the next few days when the water's gone down.
