CHICO, Calif – Crews with the Chico Fire Department battled a structure fire in a converted residence on Acorn Circle a little after 4 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Firefighters operated with an aggressive interior fire attack and conducted a search for any victims. With zero visibility and access to the main body of the fire, ladder truck personnel went up to the roof and made a few holes to let out smoke and gas from the house.

The interior crews contained the fire quickly and began to salvage. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
