Chico, Calif.--More than a dozen city leaders, parents, and other community members got a taste of what it takes to be a firefighter.

The annual 3 day long Citizens' Academy put participants to the test, rescuing someone trapped in a car, hazmat training, and EMS as well, even rappelling off a building.

Action News Now's Cort Klopping participated this year; he'll share that story with you in the coming days.
