CHICO, Calif. – COVID-19 has the Chico Community Benefit Luncheon, also known as the Chico Ciopinno Feed switching gears this year.
Kathy Chance joined Action News Now at Noon to provide the latest updates. The annual fundraising luncheon was canceled due to the pandemic earlier this year. But the group already had great items donated. Now, they've decided to host the auction part online.
All proceeds will go directly to agencies and projects in the community. This year's recipients include the Boys and Girls Club of the North Valley, Work Training Center, Gateway Science Museum, and Reading Pals.
In the past, they have raised upwards of $10,000. Some of the auction items this year include exclusive hunting, fishing and rafting trips, a private tour of the Ronald Reagan Ranch in Santa Barbara, choice wine and whisky collections, scenic rides on vintage airplanes, and more.
The auction will take place Sept. 19 through Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. Click here for more information on the auction.
