Chico, Red Bluff communities celebrate National Night Out

On Aug. 6, from 5 - 8 p.m., neighbors throughout Chico are asked to lock their doors, turn on the porch lights and spend the evening outside together.

CHICO, Calif. - On Aug. 6, from 5 - 8 p.m., neighbors throughout Chico are asked to lock their doors, turn on the porch lights and spend the evening outside together.

The City of Chico Parks Division will also be hosting National Night Out from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Caper Acres in Bidwell Park on Aug. 6, 2019. 

The Chico Target Department store will be hosting games, hot dogs, appearances by a Chico Police K-9 Unit Chico Police VIPS, and Chico Fire and Rescue.

The Red Bluff Police Department will host National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Forward Park. 

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood relationships, more welcoming places to live.

Communities celebrate this night by hosting block parties, BBQ's, ice cream socials and various community events with visits from Chico Police Personnel.
