CHICO, Calif. – In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month, Catalyst Domestic Violence Services, Red Cross, Golden Valley Bank, Rotary Club of Chico, and Seizer One Designs unveiled a new public art display highlighting the importance of healthy relationships in Butte County.
Catalyst hosted an outdoor socially distanced reception at 330 Wall Street in downtown Chico Tuesday afternoon to present the new mural.
“Not only is this mural a beautiful work of art for our entire community to appreciate, the deeper value lies in the conversations that stem from it,” shared Catalyst representatives. “It is sure to inspire and empower community members to think about their own relationships and importance of love, safety, respect, and support."
The mural reads "Love, Safety, Support and Respect" and was created by artist, Jed Speer. He also created Chico's "Love" and "Unity" murals.
