Chico, Calif.—After months of construction the Caper Acres playground in Chico is finally complete.

Families gathered for the ribbon cutting and grand opening in Bidwell Park Saturday.

The Chico State Associated General Contractors student chapter spearheaded the swings renovation.

Other groups such as Chico Sunrise and Noon Rotary volunteered hundreds of hours.

Mayor Sean Morgan gave awards to four members of the Chico State AGC Student Chapter for donating more than 1,000 hours to this project.

Student Chapter of Associated General Contractors who worked on the project commented, “I'd definitely say it feels great. Definitely going to miss working on the project.”

Phase two of the Caper Acres Project will be to rebuild the crooked house.

Construction is expected to begin this fall.
