BUTTE COUNTY, Calif.- Many people gathered for a family fun-day in Concow on Sunday.

Dozens of community members came together to help beautify the Lake Concow Campground, which has been closed since the Camp Fire.

They also used it as an opportunity to have a potluck and spend time with one another.

Volunteers say the power is being repaired and the water will be back on soon at the campground, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

They are hoping to open the campground early next month for people who are still displaced by the Camp Fire.

Raychel Smith, from Concow, volunteered for Sunday's event, she says, "I'm definitely overwhelmed with love and joy that people come out to help other people,  and it's a great community here with great projects happening."

The Grand Re-Opening will take place on Easter Sunday with a community potluck and Easter Egg Hunt.

Rain showers and a good chance for thunderstorms are on the way for your Friday night and Saturday forecast. We'll also be much cooler and have gusty South winds this weekend. Some showers are possible early next week, but dry and warmer weather returns for the middle of next week.
