CALIFORNIA - California Independent System Operator (ISO) is asking customers to reduce their energy consumption due to the impact of current wildfires on the state's power supply.

California ISO said on Sunday afternoon that transmission lines are still unreliable due to the Bootleg Fire in Oregon.

They said demand is expected to increase on Monday, July 12, 2021.

Because of this the ISO has requested all power plants in the state to delay any planned maintenance.

California ISO is asking residents of the state to "remain vigilant in case we need conservation help" on Monday.

The Flex Alert will take place on Monday between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
